Description

We are offering a role in the automotive industry for a Systems Administrator based in Washington, DC. The position involves managing Microsoft Windows client architecture, performing timely deployments of application major upgrades, security updates and patches, and providing advanced troubleshooting for complex issues related to operating system enterprise software or configuration settings on client devices. The role is a contract opportunity, offering the chance to work in a hybrid work setting, with on-site days required 2-3 days a week.

Daily Tasks:

  • Design develop and maintains Microsoft Windows client architecture through a strong understanding of industry best practices and manages solutions to support management of smartphones and other mobile devices as well as provides advanced troubleshooting for complex issues related to Operating System Enterprise Software or Configuration settings on these devices.

  • The Client Engineer Sr role is responsible for the definition of technical standards and maintenance of end user compute devices. They are to performs well-organized and timely deployments of application major upgrades security updates and patches to this environment.

  • Support L1-L3 tickets that can only be resolved desk side for the small office of about 20 local employees consisting of attorneys.

  • Mobile device management using Intune, will be supporting Apple, Android, barcode scanners and other mobile devices across all US locations.

  • Will be configuring the packages, validation testing and managing initial deployment on a global scale with Intune.

  • Must be able to configure images/packages in Intune that consist of multiple applications, application updates and/or patches for enterprise deployments for over 10,000 devices.

  • L3 support for incidents related to applications, patches or updates that have been pushed out through InTune.

  • Creation of documentation for the image/package to be handed over to the team that is responsible for end user and device management for the individual employees or devices.

  • May be tasked with acting as smart hands for AV needs in conference rooms, Network Admin./Engineer or Systems Admin./Engineer to troubleshoot, rack stack, test, etc. for the onsite network or server equipment.

  • The Sr Client Engineer participates in and/or manages cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technology to improve the stability security management or efficiency of our compute resources add and stive to the goal of a zero-touch desktop deployment system via Autopilot with MEM for windows device and Apple Business Manager iOS devices.

    Requirements

Required skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune Endpoint Manager for iOS, Android, barcode scanners, PCs, MAC or other mobile devices

  • Experience working with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or similar antivirus product

  • 5 years working with Active Directory and Group Policy

  • Experience using Service Now or other related ITSM platform

  • Hands on experience of ongoing administration and service maintenance

  • Knowledge of Windows platform and Intune deployment tools

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy Objects and Group Policy Preferences

  • Strong writing skills for client facing documentation and executive-level communications

  • Enterprise Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or Endpoint Manager experience is a must

  • Application packaging and deployment within targeting UEM applications such as MS Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune.

  • Image Management: endpoint PC and Server operating system build customizations task sequence and deployment

  • Regular use of PowerShell scripting

  • Testing and distribution of authorized patches

  • Support administration and rollout of security products
