Job Description
As an Global Technology & Operations AI Factory Platfrom Engineer your primary responsibility will be to maintain and enhance the growing infrastructure under AI Factory Platfrom. You will be responsible for maintenance & development of the Terraform blueprint and it’s 500+ instances. You will define and deploy Infrastructure Lifecycle Management practices to support seamless upgrades and patching of existing ecosystem to maintain it’s high security and resiliency. You will implement best practices in release management, change management, and incident resolution in collaboration with the AI Factory applications SRE Teams. You will be responsible for implementing observability (Spyglass) and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery framework for the entire ecosystem. This role is crucial for supporting the AIF team's ongoing growth and ensuring the smooth operation of the infrastructure.
Job Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the infrastructure under the AI Factory Platform, ensuring its scalability, security, and resiliency
Develop and maintain Terraform blueprints and oversee their implementation across the ecosystem
Define and deploy Infrastructure Lifecycle Management practices to support seamless upgrades and patching of the existing infrastructure
Ensure the observability of the platform through the implementation of Spyglass and other monitoring tools
Implement a high availability and disaster recovery framework for the entire ecosystem
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure-related issues and optimize performance
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in infrastructure management
Qualifications:
Strong experience in maintaining and managing large-scale infrastructure, preferably in a cloud environment
Proficiency in Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools
Solid understanding of Infrastructure Lifecycle Management practices and their application in a production environment
Knowledge of release management, change management, and incident resolution processes
Familiarity with observability tools and practices, such as Prometheus, Grafana monitoring, and logging
Experience in implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong drive to learn and stay updated with emerging technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
The ideal candidate should also possess the following characteristics:
Ability to quickly understand and navigate technology areas and ask relevant technical questions
Fast learner with a problem-solving demeanor
Proactive and takes initiative, not afraid to challenge the status quo
Management or leadership skills/experiences
Basic vendor/supplier management skills and experience working with external companies
Minimum Bachelor's Degree
Skills to Learn/Build on this Job:
Deep technical knowledge and experience in cloud BI & Analytics relevant capabilities
Exposure to complex cloud architectures and working with cloud provider product teams on future cloud roadmap and capability improvements
Expertise in working in a global multi-functional team on cloud platforms
Big picture understanding of PG IT organization and its services
Industry certifications such as DevOps, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Architect, Azure DevOps, or Azure Security
Expand understanding and application of machine learning algorithm development for scalable applications
