JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Sr Accounting Administrator to support out Credit and Collections team .

The Sr Accounting Administrator analyzes credit information to establish customers' credit limits permitting highest profitable sales consistent with reasonably minimum losses. Counsels and negotiates with customers to improve financial controls, suggests sources of working capital, and sets up special credit arrangements and payment schedules. Plans credit restriction and collection tactics for risky, slow pay, and sensitive accounts. May collect outstanding receivables in accordance with terms and conditions of sale.

  • Utilize telephone, fax and e-mail to contact clients and collect delinquent accounts.

  • Discuss and arrange payment terms with account contacts.

  • Investigate and resolve client disputes.

  • Maintain Aged Trial Balance and Collection Queue.

  • Prepare and mail client statements and invoices.

  • Review and evaluate customer credit lines and payment history.

  • Recommend credit line changes and credit holds. Monitor and review credit risk clients with management.

  • Maintain accurate notes on all accounts.

  • Work with divisional finance staff to address client billings and questions.

  • Perform other administrative tasks, including filing.

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D), with additional college-level finance/accounting a course work.

Experience: Two to four years related experience and/or training.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Other: Proficiency in use of electronic databases and spreadsheets required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, and work/type at computer.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

General office working conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $52,000/yr - $60,000/yr. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
