Build and grow the global textile business within hospitality and healthcare channels through new product research and development. Manage product lifecycle from conception, creation, through launch commercialization. Coalesce inputs such as customer feedback, market data, competitive landscape, and overall brand position, to develop product strategy that meets Manchester Mills (MM) business objectives. Take a lead on conducting pilots and clinical trials. Specify technical and functional requirements for new textile products, coordinate product launch, create the commercialization strategy, and initiate ongoing updates such as new features. Identify and execute white space opportunities that necessitates exploration into areas adjacent to but outside traditional business boundaries, taking cues from textiles product trends in other industries and translating them to solve needs of textiles in the hospitality industry. Work directly with MM global supplier network, engaging with their development and production teams to engineer final commercially viable textile products. Develop competitively advantaged products that generate interest by translating trends, identifying unmet consumer needs, analyzing and interpreting category and competitive activity and articulating implications and leveraging technology and manufacturing capabilities. Work with legal team and patent attorneys to file for patents to strengthen company’s intellectual property and protect our innovations. Keep track of global competitor’s patents, reading and vetting them out for infringement. Develop and present business cases to internal and external audience effectively, building strong business relationship to achieve sustainable partnerships. Collaborate internally and externally with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to supply chain, legal, patent, social compliance and product compliance, sales and marketing, and lead multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Textile Technology/Engineering, Soft Materials Science/Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field of study plus four (4) years of relevant experience in Healthcare, Hospitality and/or Industrial Textiles, Product Innovation and Commercialization, including experience collaborating and influencing cross-functional team members, such as supply chain, legal, patent, social compliance and product compliance, sales and marketing, experience in leading and developing a Design Thinking environment, and experience working with business analysis and project management tools, such as Phocas, Centric Systems etc. How to Apply: Email resumes to Recruiting@guestworldwide.com.
