Description

Growing litigation firm has an immediate opening for a skilled Attorney! This Attorney will join a small team of litigators and support staff and focus on employment law matters, on behalf of employers. As an Attorney with this firm, you'll be responsible for all phases of the litigation lifecycle from developing case strategy through closure. If you're looking to grow your employment law career with mentorship from tenured attorneys, this is the position for you! The ideal attorney will be able to work in the Oakland office on a hybrid basis. Candidates must hold an active CA Bar license and have 5-15+ years of California-based employment litigation experience; employer side experience is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop case strategy upon initial complaint

• Discovery management

• Conduct investigations as needed

• Draft various documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs

• Communicate with clients as needed

• Prepare for depositions, mediations, and trial

• Assist with settlement conversations

• Projects as assigned

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active CA Bar license

• 5-15+ years of California-based employment litigation experience

• Employer side experience is highly preferred but not required

• Prior trial experience is preferred but not required

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Must possess analytical, legal research, and writing skills

• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
