Job Title: Product Management Associate Director - Content Services

The Product Manager Associate Director role at S&P Global is a pivotal position that facilitates seamless collaboration between business and technology teams. Working with Product Owners and mature scrum teams, this role enables Commodity Insights researchers, analysts, market reporters and news to create and publish content, using next-gen technologies in a seamless, productive way. This hands-on role involves creating solutions, optimizing processes & leading initiatives to solve business problems while striving for high adoption of solutions through effective change management & communications.

The Team:

The Internal Product Management team is a highly motivated team scaling innovation and building platforms for our Commodity Insight business lines including news, pricing, research and analytics. We use Agile methodologies to drive ongoing delivery work closely with business and technology partners to share knowledge, embrace change and implement best-of-breed technology.

Responsibilities and Impact:

You will be the Product Manager for the services that solve diverse business problems by developing our next generation of content systems to leverage latest automation, GenAI and cloud technologies by working closely with stakeholders in an end-to-end implementation of the solution: inception, prototyping, development, and productionizing.

  • Be accountable for the vision, strategy and the roadmaps for the products, building those out by using voice of the customer, product management feedback, business problems and Commodity Insights strategic goals.

  • Shepherding those roadmaps through the Product Governance and Prioritization process every cycle, collaborating with internal teams, SMEs and stakeholders to identify product requirements and prioritize feature development while working closely with the build team to ensure that products are developed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Coach and guide the Product Owners in their work, including workflow diagramming; writing specifications, user guides, training materials and release notes; writing, refining and grooming achievable business-acceptable user stories; and maintaining application roadmaps, release schedules and the backlog of enhancements and features.

  • Identify and drive opportunities for incorporating new technologies into existing workflows to optimize current operations.

  • Monitor and analyze application performance and use data-driven insights to make informed product decisions.

  • Develop and manage a high performing teams, creating an environment to enable them to excel, leading by example and providing regular coaching for their continued development.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • A highly motivated and disciplined team player with 5-7 years hands-on experience in business analysis or product management, particularly in application or platform delivery using Agile methodology.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in written and spoken English and ability to interact appropriately with a diverse set of stakeholders, partners and users

  • The ability to partner with and influence stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions by adapting communication styles and a willingness to listen and learn

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, documentation and time management skills and ability to support multiple projects in parallel without guidance.

  • Must be self-driven and able to work independently while contributing to overall team culture and deliverables, exercising good judgment to respond to needs appropriately and timely

  • Must be reliable and highly accountable for projects, ensuring all team members understand the deliverables as needed to keep each project on track.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience working in an agile environment managing the identification and delivery of projects and software solutions using Scrum and Kanban

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Dev/Ops or similar Agile toolsets.

  • Familiarity with current informational publishing technologies or content management systems (XML, Adobe tools, DRM, CMS')

  • Working with user experience designers or tools to deliver end-user focused benefits realization.

  • Experience with LEAN management and language is a plus.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $118,600 - $186,100. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
