Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Lincolnshire, Illinois

Description We are in search of a meticulous Senior Accountant to join our team situated in LINCOLNSHIRE, Illinois. This role's main function is to ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of transactions, prepare monthly financial statements, and develop processes for clean business accounting. You will work closely with various teams to achieve these goals while ensuring the timely and appropriate invoicing of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the proper execution of month-end close for the business

• Conduct financial statement analysis, providing insightful observations on business performance

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements

• Reconcile daily transactions between third-party payment processors, manufacturers, and warranty companies, ensuring that payments are properly applied and files are appropriately closed

• Manage reconciliation of manufacturer statements

• Generate weekly commission statements for employees

• Ensure customer refunds receive proper approval and are processed promptly

• Assist in managing the operations software to ensure timely and appropriate invoicing of customers

• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Senior Accounting Manager-Technology to develop processes and controls for clean business accounting

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to perform tasks effectively. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Competence in General Ledger management and Journal Entries is required

• Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Experience in Month End Close process is necessary

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is essential

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred

• Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Must have high ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct

• Familiarity with accounting standards, regulations, and laws is necessary.
