We are seeking a talented individual for a HR Specialist who develops and coordinates activities in functional areas of a human resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, HR records, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, organization development and training.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer assigned projects and programs in support of HR strategic objectives.

  • Develop, review, and revises policies and procedures for one or more HR processes.

  • Conduct research and analysis on HR initiatives and to assess effectiveness of initiatives.

  • Provide training to leadership and employees on HR related topics.

  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and staff regarding HR services, practices, policies and procedures.

  • Support and manage vendor relationships.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to be careful and thorough about detail.

  • Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.

  • Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.

  • Ability to present to both small and large audiences.

  • Average manual dexterity in use of a PC, phone, sorting, filing and other office machines.

  • Moderate level of travel required, sometimes on short notice

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange information

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data

  • Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 10 lbs.)

  • Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals

  • May be required to work extended hours for special business needs

  • May be required to travel at least 10% of time based on business needs

Certifications: (Required/Desired)

  • If applicable, certification in HR discipline is desired (PHR, SPHR, CCP)

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Minimum Related Work Experience:

  • 3 years related work experience
