Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Irving, Texas
Description This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for working in fast-paced environments are musts. This position comes with solid compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities.

Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Experience with ERP systems
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Must have excellent time management skills
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Comprehensive knowledge of fixed assets
WIP - Work In Progress experience preferred
Sales and use tax experience
Proficiency in Prepaid Expense
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
