Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Manager for our Houston, Texas office.
This full-time position within our Environmental group will lead a team on a variety of oil and gas investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TCEQ regulatory experience and focus on health and safety. Furthermore, it is essential they exhibit strong attention to detail, possess advanced written and verbal communication abilities, and demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a high performing team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Health and safety management, including periodic field observation visits.
Effectively, manage scope, schedule, and budget for site investigation/remediation projects
Foster and maintain strong client, agency, and stakeholder relationships
Manage project schedules and regulatory milestones to confirm timely completion of projects.
Technical report writing and review
Proficient in advanced analytics for assessing and optimizing project objectives to meet regulatory standards.
Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
Mentor junior and mid-level project staff
Will require some regional travel for field visits
This position requires both office and field work; the successful candidate should expect up to 20% commitment overseeing fieldwork and mentoring junior staff. Remote work is an option if applicable to project responsibilities.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Geology, or closely related field
2 years of Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid driver's license
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
This position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years of experience in environmental consulting
4 years of project management experience
MS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field
Experience working for clients in the oil and gas market sector
Experience working with state and U.S. Federal environmental regulatory programs
40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
PG or PE license

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $125,000.00.
