Job Summary - Sr. Director, Business Development
With significant autonomy, and on the System's most complex opportunities, holds responsibility for the development and execution of joint ventures, partnerships, acquisitions and divestitures.
Identifies and develops relationships to execute on these opportunities, both internally and externally, and works closely with System leadership to ensure opportunities are aligned to the system strategy. Manages a Director responsible for financial modeling, business analysis, and performance monitoring, while ensuring the balance of support on these areas is provided to the Systems' business development, strategy, and market development teams.
Evaluates competitors, market and industry and makes recommendations for traditional, non-traditional, and diversified growth. Leads a team with this focus and manages an ongoing portfolio of opportunities. Provides transparency to senior leadership regarding the progress of ongoing efforts and works closely with senior leaders across the System to ensure organizational readiness to manage and/or integrate opportunities. Networks with internal and external partners displaying expert analytical, deduction, presentation and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of initiating, developing, and consummating deals involving two or more parties, while leading a multi-disciplinary matrixed team through these efforts.

Essential Functions - Sr. Director, Business Development
Partners with the SLT, Region and Function leadership, and service line leaders to develop and execute growth strategies, tactics, and plans - and in setting annual growth targets.
Manages the Director of Business Development and works in partnership with department leadership to provide business intelligence, financial modeling, and strategic analysis to develop and expand the team’s tools and capabilities in strategy and market development, leveraging data-driven insights. Balances the delivery of these items across key departmental stakeholders. Manages the team to develop valuations, pro-formas, and other necessary financial information to evaluate and develop business opportunities.
Provides regular reporting and transparency to the Vice President, strategy and business development, and senior leadership regarding the progress of ongoing efforts and works closely with senior leaders across the System to ensure organizational readiness to manage and/or integrate opportunities
Qualifications - Sr. Director, Business Development
Required Bachelor's Degree health care, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, business administration, engineering or related field
Preferred Master's Degree health care, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, business administration, engineering or related field
10 years of relevant experience Business innovations, profit and loss with growth, or merger and acquisitions, including proven leadership and management experience in a health plan, health system setting or healthcare consulting. Required
