his position provides oversight to the Child Welfare Programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and best practice requirements.

 

Annual Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requirements based on Division of Child Welfare Licensing (DCWL), DHHS practices and procedures, Implementation, Sustainability, and Exit Plan (ISEP), and other relevant program contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Proficient with the MiSACWIS Program.
  • Ensures compliance with the Key Performance Indicator DATA as outlined by Child and Family Service Review (CFSR) and DHHS.
  • Provides regular and consistent supervision/oversight to first-line program supervisors.
  • Attends community/state inter- Agency meetings as a representative of the Agency.
  • Interviews and recommends individuals for hire in cooperation with Agency Human Resources Department and Supervisor.
  • Trains, supervises, develops and evaluates program staff in adherence to program and Agency policy and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains key community relationships and partnerships within service areas.
  • Assists in budget development and adherence.
  • Ensures that documentation and data required for internal and external reporting is completed according Agency standards.
  • Attends Court Hearings as needed.
  • Drives for Agency business.
  • Performs other special assignments at supervisor's request.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of DHHS computer systems and any other computer systems required by contract.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully interact with court personnel and appointed attorneys.
  • Ability to relate to diverse populations and cultures while communicating with other staff and the public in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Must be willing and able to work irregular hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as required. 
  • Must be willing to travel to other community sites as needed.
