Role Overview :

The Digital Technology Senior Director will lead global systems strategy and roadmap implementation for Engineering, Product Management and CLC (Contract Logistics Center) functions. This entails crafting and implementing new digital technology enablers as to enable full Product Lifecycle Management and Digital Thread with sufficient tools and systems for Product Management Office and Engineering Function. This role will orchestrate multiple initiatives and lead direct and indirect team members. The role is primarily based in Farmington, CT with hybrid remote/office working arrangement as well as travel requirements.

On a typical day you will:

  • Partner with Otis Product Management and Global Engineering function. Establish the digital technology strategy with clear alignment to business KPI and operation processes that enables productivity and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead the overall strategy of engineering systems and tools with a special focus on PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Engineering Configurator implementation roadmap globally. Lead a group of DT professionals and cross-function stakeholders to deploy standard Global PLM and Configurator in all countries with quality and adoption.

  • Build a holistic automation solution for CLC to complete the Digital Thread vision with a strong digitized connection between Engineering Design to Manufacturing hand off. Identify synergy and strategy globally across multiple region CLCs to optimize productivity and outcome.

  • Deliver on a multi-year roadmap of offerings and associated enabling technology. Engaging in the evolution of the strategy and potential adjustments to multi-year roadmap.

  • Establish operating model that encompasses people, process, technology, and governance within and across Otis to enable executable action plans with measurable business value.

  • Leverage innovative technology including data, AI, integration and collaborate cross-technology team influence internally and externally to achieve the outcome.

What You Will Need to be Successful :

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, computer science and / or business administration or equivalent combination of experience.

  • A minimum of 12 years working experience. Experience in PLM or Engineering systems is preferred.

  • Strong experience working with innovative digital technologies.

  • Expertise in enabling, implementing, and leading digital transformation

  • Good understanding about systems integrations.

  • Strong experience connecting business strategy to relevant technology investments and projects through product management approach.

  • Shown success partnering with other leaders within a matrix organization to achieve common goals.

  • High level of emotional intelligence, excellent collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objections and persuade others, including leaders, to adopt a different point of view.

  • Ability to simplify the complex; navigate ambiguity; focus on the critical few priorities to deliver outstanding results

  • Ability to implement and scale organizational people, processes and systems and lead the change while valuing and promoting a culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

  • Proven ability to lead and influence without direct authority, managing partner expectations at all levels in a matrixed global environment while improving business value delivered.

  • Self-motivated, works autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
