What do you contribute?

At our Siemens Mobility site in Erlangen, we develop the software for our Vectron locomotives.

  • As a Technical Manager (f/m/d), you will act as a link between the engineering groups specialising in vehicle control and train control systems (ATP) and ensure that further developments and changes to the software for our locomotives are optimally implemented in terms of quality, deadlines and processes.

  • To this end, you will prepare the requirements (e.g. market, customer and approval requirements) in such a way that they can then be successfully implemented by our project engineers.

  • You coordinate our project engineers and ensure that the process is adhered to.

  • You will also define milestones, monitor them and, if necessary, take measures at an early stage to ensure compliance. You always keep an eye on the costs.

  • For new equipment packages to be developed or modified for our locomotives, you will coordinate, drive and supervise software development and ensure synchronisation with the hardware.

  • You will work closely with your interface partners (e.g. engineering, project management, internal approval).

  • You will present the results of your work both internally and externally (e.g. to project management and customers).

What do you bring along?

  • The foundation of your success is a successfully completed technical bachelor's degree (e.g. electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering).

  • You will also have many years of professional experience in the field of software in the rail vehicle industry (e.g. as a software developer (f/m/d), technical sub-project manager (f/m/d)).

  • Knowledge in the field of train control systems is desirable.

  • You recognise technical interrelationships and enjoy providing structured support for creative processes.

  • Thanks to your excellent teamwork and communication skills, you have already been able to work confidently in complex matrix structures.

  • We look forward to receiving your application if you are fluent in German and have a good command of English and are willing to travel throughout Europe (approx. 10...20%).

What do we offer you?

Attractive conditions

You will receive an attractive compensation package including the benefits of the collective bargaining agreement (e.g. additional pay and vacation pay) and other extras (e.g. corporate pension and shareholder program).
