JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Graphic Designer who will produce visual communications to support admissions, academic, research, and outreach functions of the college.

The designer will be responsible for developing the look, creating the layout, and coordinating the production of high-level visual communications for print, digital, and multimedia applications, including advertising, marketing, and promotional materials as well as materials for web, video, social, and other electronic media. Following Penn State brand identity standards, the designer will be expected to elevate the profile of Penn State Behrend through clean, professional, attention-getting design. The designer will also be tasked with the creative direction of photography and supervision of materials production by external vendors.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and self-management skills; the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; a high level of attention to detail; knowledge of web accessibility in the context of visual design, and a collaborative, problem-solving approach to work.

Requires an Associate degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite—in particular, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, and Photoshop—are required. Knowledge of Drupal web content management is preferred, although not required. Candidates selected for consideration will be expected to provide samples of completed work, demonstrating their range and quality of visual communications.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
