Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal teams such as accounting, finance, manufacturing and distribution to develop reports useful in understanding freight costs and patterns

  • Respond to carrier inquiries about operational issues and find long-term solutions

  • Assist internal teams with shipping and logistics processes

  • Develop reporting to ensure Dish employees are adhering to business rules regarding shipping

  • Analyze transportation data to look for opportunities to improve processes and recommend best practices

  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with our freight payment vendor and transportation partners as necessary

  • Assist internal teams with other tasks as needed which may include data entry, reporting and analysis, partner management, and more

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university

  • 2+ years of experience working in transportation with freight carriers (truckload and LTL) and/or parcel carriers

  • 1+ years of data analysis experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills and experience with Excel

  • Prior experience maintaining TMS platforms

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to find opportunities for improving efficiency

  • Ability to convey findings from complex data sets with use of easy to understand charts, graphs, and observations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely to department leadership and executives

  • Ability to facilitate meetings with partners, stakeholder and leadership

  • Familiarity with SQL and ability to write basic queries

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
