Position Description

Plan, coordinate and execute all catered events for Terrace Dining/Sodexho Catering, to include, menu planning, and booking, coordinate ordering of food, supplies, and equipment. Schedule and supervise staffing to cover all catered events. Taking orders for catering from multiple sources; personal meetings with potential customers, fax, email, web based and phone orders. Posting events to the catering calendar. Ensuring adequate food and supplies are ordered from the warehouse and/or outside vendors. Coordinates and supervises the preparation of food from the Main Kitchen and checks with production each day. Coordinates/supervises the delivery, setup, clean up and retrieval of equipment on all events. Prepares invoices for each event using Excel. Uses survey and other follow-up techniques to document customer satisfaction. Creates catering menus and sets selling price.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization, 2 years of college, and three to five years food service experience or a combination. Other Requirements: Intermediate level computer skills, excellent math and cash handling skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Preferably experience in catering/hospitality environment
